How do I buy a course?
Browse courses on the homepage, click "View Details", then click "Buy This Course". You'll be taken to the payment page where you choose your payment method (Telebirr, CBE, MTN Mobile Money, etc.), send the payment, and then send your screenshot to our WhatsApp. Access is granted within 24 hours.
How long does it take to get access after payment?
Access is granted within 24 hours after we confirm your payment screenshot. For faster processing, send your screenshot immediately after paying via WhatsApp.
Can I access courses on my phone?
Yes. SkillHub is fully mobile-responsive and can be installed as an app on your phone or desktop. Open the site in Chrome and look for the install button in the address bar.
Do I get a certificate after completing a course?
Yes. Once you complete a course, a "Get Certificate" button appears in your dashboard. You can download and share your certificate of completion.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept Telebirr, CBE Birr/Bank Transfer (Ethiopia), MTN Mobile Money (Uganda/South Sudan), and Western Union/WorldRemit for international payments.
For Instructors
How do I become an instructor?
Register on SkillHub and select "Instructor" as your role. Your account will be reviewed by our admin team within 24 hours. Once approved, you can create and publish courses.
How much do instructors earn?
Instructors earn 80% of every course sale. SkillHub takes a 20% platform fee. Payments are sent to your mobile money account after each confirmed sale.
What format should my course content be in?
You can add YouTube links, Google Drive video links, or Vimeo links for video lessons. For notes/PDFs, use Google Drive or Dropbox links. All content is hosted externally — you just paste the links.
How long does course approval take?
Course review typically takes 24–48 hours. You'll receive a WhatsApp notification once your course is approved or if changes are needed.
For Freelancers
How do I register as a freelancer?
Register on SkillHub and select "Freelancer" as your role. Fill in your skills, hourly rate, and portfolio link. Your profile will be reviewed and approved by admin within 24 hours.
How do clients contact me?
Clients can message you directly through the SkillHub chat system or contact you via WhatsApp. When a client clicks "Hire" on your profile, they're taken to the payment page and can send you a message.
What commission does SkillHub take on freelance jobs?
SkillHub takes a 12% platform fee on freelance hires. You keep 88% of the agreed amount.
Account & Technical
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Click "Forgot Password?" on the login form. Enter your WhatsApp number and we'll send you a 6-digit reset code. Enter the code and set a new password.
Can I change my role after registering?
Currently role changes require contacting our support team via WhatsApp. We'll update your account manually.
The site says "Server is waking up". What does that mean?
Our backend server goes to sleep after periods of inactivity to save resources. When you first visit, it takes about 30–60 seconds to wake up. Just wait a moment and try again — it will work.
